Lisa Nguyen

Hello! My name is Lisa Nguyen and I'm currently pursuing Industrial and Systems Engineering. I was originally born in San Jose but grew up in Hollister since I was three. I came back to San Jose after high school for the technical opportunities in Silicon Valley. I chose my major after looking at various STEM fields and realized I enjoy process innovation. I find it rewarding to design and implement solutions that will reduce cost, optimize processes, improve production, while giving the business maximum revenue. I also really like the opportunity of working in various types of industry such as transportation, healthcare, robotics, energy, manufacturing, R&D. My hobbies include being outdoors and staying active. I joined AOE because I was inspired by the hard-working, like-minded girls I met and wanted to be a part of a community who supports women in STEM.

Shreya Sinha

Hello there.

I’m Shreya and I’m from Bangalore, India. I’m studying Biomedical Engineering and plan on pursuing a career in the medical device industry. I enjoy listening to music, and am learning how to produce it! My playlists each represent a distinct phase of my life, and I enjoy making everyone sit through them too. I also occasionally write novels.

Back to the sciency stuff, I aspire to someday design and modify medical devices to create more awesome devices that make lives easier. AOE has provided me with the opportunity to connect with people who are interesting and are, like me, working towards their own goals in STEM.

Dax Yuhasz

Hi all, I’m Dax! I am originally from White Lake, Michigan- but I’ve lived in the Bay Area most of my life. I’m a biomedical engineering major with hopes of attending med school in the future or getting my Ph.D. My plan is to work developing accessible technology for people out there who would benefit from it. In my free time I usually knit or sew and I’m an experienced classical Bassist (hoping to get a Jazz studies minor!). I joined A.O.E. For the social aspect and to learn better communication skills that would benefit my future career, having my own network of people to rely on and work with brings me joy!
