Our Chapter
Beta Upsilon Chapter at SJSU
Our Beta Upsilon Chapter was founded on May, 6th of 2017. We welcomed to San José State University the International Executive Board of Alpha Omega Epsilon. We had a long day of workshops, and then we concluded the day with our chapter ceremony, which made San José State University the first Chapter of AΩE in Northern California.
Our journey at San José State University started in the Fall of 2015. The idea of bringing Alpha Omega Epsilon International Engineering and Technical Science Sorority to SJSU was brought to our sister Isadora McCullough by our sister Hanna Ali. Hanna and Isadora worked hard to make this sorority possible, but they could not have made this happen without all of the 12 sisters that decided to jump into this life journey with them.
After a long time waiting, many emails, video chats with the sorority board, profile membership applications, and endless meetings, the San José State University Colony of Alpha Omega Epsilon was founded on August 27th, 2016 with a total of 14 founders in the Alpha Class. We recruited our Beta Class and together on May 6th of 2017 we officially became the Beta Upsilon Chapter at San José State University, with a total of 26 founders.
We cannot wait to bring more women engineers and scientists together to be a part of this incredible journey with us. We created a beautiful legacy based on friendship, professionalism, and leadership, and we are excited for the continual growth of our family.
