Beta Upsilon Chapter at San Jose State University
EPSILON CLASS
Alyssa Hill

Hello there! My name is Alyssa Hill and I am a Computer Engineering undergraduate student at San Jose State University. My career vision is to start my own technology business to discover and create new products that improve the quality of life. I joined Alpha Omega Epsilon because it represents an intelligent, talented, and passionate group of women in a male-dominated industry. I believe we set an example and influence the next generation of women pursuing engineering and technical science careers.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and snowboarding. I am quite a competitive person, and I love playing sports. I am a huge superhero fan, and I am especially interested in The Flash, Iron Man, and Deadpool. I also love dystopian movies and TV shows, such as The 100, The Hunger Games, and The Divergent Series. I spend the majority of my time listening to podcasts and watching videos on new technology. I am a hardcore foodie and especially love eating sushi and drinking Thai tea. A fun fact about me is that I was a member and performer of Drum Corps International, marching music’s major league.
Angelica Polo

How do you do, my name is Angelica Polo and am studying towards a B.S. Biomedical Engineering degree with a minor in chemistry. I was drawn to this major because of its multidisciplinary industry that fills my desire to be a jack of all trades. Apart from being highly involved in executive positions in student organizations, I love experiencing the outdoors anywhere from camping to extreme sports. I absolutely love to travel and one of my goals is to live and work in Japan for a few years to immerse myself in their amazing culture. Some fun facts about me is that I am a 2nd Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and open water scuba certified. You can identify me in a crowd by my Star Wars led light up backpacks and other Star Wars collectables. I joined A.O.E to expand my resources and community to get the most out of my time at college and help me grow to be a well rounded individual.
Isabella Solis

My name is Isabella Solis- Ornelaz and im an Industrial Engineering Major expected to graduate in 2022. I’ve lived in Hayward, California surrounded by my family ever since I was born, so when it was time to decide where I’m going to college, I chose San Jose State to be able to see my family everyday. As a first generation college student, I was unsure of what I wanted to major in, but I know I enjoy math and science. While applying to San Jose State I saw the many disciplines of engineering programs available. After looking into each program, I decided the Industrial and Systems Engineering program was for me. The idea of helping businesses make the best decisions reflects who I am as someone who wants to watch those around me make the best decisions for themselves. Working to reduce waste and make workplaces more efficient also appeals to me.
I joined Alpha Omega Epsilon with the hope of finding more support and guidance not only as a female engineer, but because I’m a first generation student as well. Upon first meeting the girls, they were so friendly and inviting. The sorority has made my first year immensely better through resources and advice. Im thankful to be a part of this sorority.

Erika Tsukimura

Hello!! I am Erika Tsukimura and I am studying Civil Engineering. I was born and raised in San Jose and I absolutely love it. One thing that will never change is that I will always be down to get boba at any time of the day. I also love watching TV. My all-time favorite show is Bones, hands down. I also watch Hawaii Five-O, Jane the Virgin, Once Upon a Time, Stitchers, and Criminal Minds. A fun fact about me is that I got to vote on my 18th birthday.

I joined AΩE because I loved how close all the girls were to each other. I also wanted to get to know more people in engineering, let alone women. I like how the sorority promotes women in engineering because I love to see more and more women join engineering throughout the years. I have a younger brother, so I was super excited to gain sisters through this process because I always wanted a sister!!
