Hello! My name is Karina Huete and from South San Francisco,CA. I am studying Civil Engineering this coming Fall. As I have found my passion for structural engineering and how I can give back to the community as an engineer. Coming to San Jose State, I was the only one from my high school and challenged to make new friends. The past two and half years at SJSU, I have been involved in student clubs, but it was not until I joined Alpha Omega Epsilon that I really felt at home. Being the oldest child and only daughter, I never knew what it was like to have sisters older or younger than me. Joining Alpha Omega Epsilon allowed me to create new friendships with others who share the same passion for science and engineering that will last a lifetime. In my spare time, I enjoy chasing sunsets, going to baseball games, spending time with my family and friends, and looking for new places to explore and travel too. Fun fact about me is that I play guitar with my left hand, but can only write with my right hand as I am not ambidextrous.

Hi!! I am currently studying to be a Chemical Engineer. I am from a small town a few hours away named Taft. I am a very family oriented person, and I love every moment that I am able to spend with them. I love going to the beach, and exploring new places. My favorite show is Bones because Temperance is so smart but awkward at times but she still has a great group of friends by her side. One of the books I enjoyed reading the most was "Cirque De Freak" by Darren Shan. I am currently an undergraduate researcher for Dr. Wolcott's Lab at San Jose State University through the chemistry department. I joined Alpha Omega Epsilon to be able to create long-lasting relationships with other girls that experienced the struggle of being an engineer. FInally, my favorite type of food is mariscos (mexican food).
